i've got a surprise for Poppy.

Photoshoot II: Complete

as i've predicted, i skipped the dim sum gathering on Saturday due to the fatigue.
wanted to join the Southern Ridges walk, but it started raining shortly before, so nay to that too.
Poppy and i did, however, catch Ip Man 2. awesome stuff (love the ending scene where Ip Man sits on his favorite chair), but i much prefer the first one though.
after the show, we headed home to rest up for the next long day we have ahead.

it was a shoot against all odds.
after scheduling and re-scheduling, we finally completed our second photo-shoot yesterday.

we arrived around 9am, then set off to the "Little India" and "Istana Park" around 10am, after finishing the make-up and gowns trying. as it drew close to noon, we returned to the studio for a change of hair/clothes and lunch on the folks at D'Gio. off we went again, to Kota Tinggi, as it started to rain. alas, by the time we arrived in Kota Tinggi, the weather cleared up. can't say the same for the commando mosquitoes though. i suffered no less than 20 insect bites by the time we finished the shoot at the pond/lakeside, and my eyes were sore beyond remedy.

i could hardly open my eyes for the last leg of the shoot on the road towards our return to the studio. grabbed a quick dinner at Ah Biao's, got stuck in the jam a little, then headed home to wash up and rest. visited the doc after waking up with still-sore eyes. bla.

'nuff said for now. i gotta go rest my eyes a bit.

50.

it's drawing nearer. just 50 days to go.

i'm basically more excited about the trip, the shopping, the sight-seeing and whatnots more than the wedding. in fact, i think i'm starting to get the jitters. have i done this, and that, and all the other stuff. bla.

while Poppy is on a diet, i'm doing the exact opposite. stuffing myself silly with lots of food.

i overate today (again).

porridge for dinner, followed by 4 slices of bread, then chicken noodles.

i guess i could (conveniently) blame it on the stress. hee-haw.

finally my weekend rest after a 3-night stint.

i'm bushed. i wonder if i can even make it for the dim sum brunch.

bro's asking me to join them at Southern Ridges in the afternoon, which i think i'll just pass. Poppy and i finally managed to squeeze some time out to catch Ip Man 2 tomorrow evening.

the shoot's on Sunday, and we've been told it's gonna be outdoors, so i guess i have to reserve my energy for that.

34 minutes more. I WILL SURVIVE!

The Month.

Finally back to my night shift after two months.

We popped by D'Gio again early last month, with our moms and Godmom, to try out their gowns. To our surprise, the bridal shop actually offered us a free shoot with a free album and the soft copies, in exchange for our time to "model" for them - sort of like TFCD. The shoot was scheduled for last weekend, but has been postponed to next weekend due to the wet weather recently. Anyhoos, yay to freebie, plus Mommy looked really hot in the gown she picked!

The following week was our office lounge's first function - Prabu's farewell buffet lunch, held in conjunction with my birthday celebration. We had another private team dinner for Prabu afterwards too at Miao Yi vegetarian restaurant.

After work on Saturday, the night before my birthday, had a dinner with Alex, Mich, Liz, Loh and Poppy at Jurong Hill's Hill Top Japanese Restaurant followed by drinks at Raffles Marina's Bistro. Settled home afterwards and got up early for brunch with the gurls at Hatched. yums. i love hearty brunches.

Finally, the most important part was dinner back at home with the entire family. Mommy specially made me my favorite Chili Crab and also Crab Meat Soup! She's always such a dear! Had my third cake this year and headed back home for the well-deserved rest.

Busy busy busy again afterwards.

More day shifts, new staff joined, office official opening (and lots of stress-relieving online shopping)!

But because our photo shoot with the bridal shop was postponed, we managed to sneak a day off for ourselves for the long amiss two-of-us time, starting with a late lunch at RedDot and a good rest again back at home. And finally the busy week ended with our chill-out session with the team at Hacienda in Dempsey.

And just this weekend, Winnie, Cheng Hoe and their friends came by for a short getaway. (Sidenote: it's been almost three years since we last saw CH - he went to Melbourne for studies; and two years for Wynn!) Anyway, we brought them around to Marina Barrage, Sentosa (yes, Ben & Jerry's, Cafe Del Mar and RWS!), Dempsey (sorry, we couldn't resist), Bugis, Tiong Bahru, and of course Orchard. Time really flies when u're having fun... And so the weekend has come to an end, and they're should already be touching down now back in KL.
