after a few days' absence, i guess it's time to blog again.
was out at Changi Point a few days back to kickstart my 2nd roll of film.
missed the sunrise due to the heavy traffic on the roads that morning.
the sun scorched like mad, and i ached severely afterwards from all the walking.
no thanks to my lack of exercise. and yet, thanks to NeuNeu for sacrificing the sleep time on his off day to accompany me.
in return, i gave him a complimentary car wash...
and i ached even more.
the same evening, we decided to go "pak tor" (dating).
i know it's cheesy.
together for so long but still resort to all these...
anyway Mr Sneaky Pants decided to make a detour and bring me to a "Secret Hideout" instead of driving to the KTV directly.
it's been awhile since he spoke of this certain place with a wonderful view.
and finally that fine day, i set foot on Jurong Hill.
took a stroll through "The Garden of Fame" where we saw a handful of trees that were planted by famous figures from around the world - Queen Elizabeth III, Former Indonesian President Soeharto just to name a few.
walked up the observatory tower and enjoyed the fresh breeze.
thank goodness we didn't spot any "used" tissue papers along the way up as NeuNeu has described.
no, we definitely didn't contribute to it either.
we got an aerial view of Jurong Island, Keppel Bay, and also NeuNeu's workplace in Tuas!
we scuffled back to the car shortly after we sensed the first few drops of rain.
since then i've read of a couple of raves about the Japanese restaurant so i'm hoping we'll be back soon for the foodie and more scenery!
we headed downhill for KTV as planned and finally reached Taman Jurong Shopping Centre around 8pm after figuring out its whereabouts.
unfortunately, we didn't utilize the entire duration of 5hours as NeuNeu had to work the next morning. snuggled up in bed by 1am and drifted off to dreamland...
and today, was the day for the misadventures of the East-Siders.
met Mr Hu at Sengkang MRT to take the NEL to Harborfront as he had to submit his works for the competition at Telok Blangah Safra, only to realize there are no buses headed to Telok Blangah Way from Seah Im.
so we had to take bus 65 from the interchange,
alight near St. Theresa and walk uphill to the building.
it started pouring once we reached.
then we met a weird receptionist at the counter before finally departing for the nearest bus stop.
that was not the end.
hopped on to bus 272 which looped back to Safra and finally stopped at Bukit Merah Interchange which we mistook for Redhill!
and so we FINALLY took bus 16 from the interchange and back to Marine Parade and Bedok respectively.
i give up on the thought of taking up the classes at the Safra!!!
