*pats self on back*
after our return from BKK - our annual shoppaway trip, as with the loss of motivation to work, i've lost all motivation to blog. i guess the over-walking, over-shopping, over-eating didn't really help to make it much of a relaxation kinda trip. neither did the daily cheap Thai oil massages.

Alex and Michelle were super sweet to come by from Jurong to fetch us from the airport that day (we had an hour's flight delay) and ferry us to Baby Clarice's 1st birthday party at Aloha, Loyang.
Poppy and i were exhausted (and hungry) and we excused ourselves from the party shortly after with Alex, Michelle and Matthew... to Bedok for Bak Chor Mee!
the usual mad wait kept us hungrier (for at least 20 minutes). blah.
proceeded to Matthew's place for an hour or so, then headed back home to catch the Zee Monster.

knowing we're running short of time for CNY preparations, we arranged a family spending trip at Bugis/Waterloo street. Mommy stocked up on some essentials, then adjourned to OG Albert (i know it's SO oldschool) to buy Dad some clothes.
chanced upon this promoter selling a juicer/blender contraption at the entrance.
Poppy was so absorbed by the promoter's "speech".
Poppy and Mommy took turns to shoot him a few questions, exchanged approving nods, tada! off i went to the cashier. to pay for 2 spanking new units of U-Like blender.
googled for reviews afterwards and found that it was pretty popular with mommies for blending food for their weaning toddlers. not that i have a kid, of course. but i totally enjoy making juices and smoothies without having to clean up too much mess.
had a sumptuous family dinner at Tung Lok Signatures in Vivocity afterwards, followed by a little more shopping in the supermarket. then dropped our moms off before heading home for a well deserved rest.
i suffered from bad stomach the next few days.
too much "heat" must've accumulated during the Thailand trip. boo.

can't remember what we did for most part of the day, but we did end up in Jurong Point to catch 14 Blades with Alex and Michelle.
Poppy can never resist Donnie Yen on the big screen.
me? i'm a sucker for Audrey Tautou and Wong Kar Wai (also affectionately known as mr wong.).

GroceriesStockingUpDay. Work.
need i say more?
8/9 Feb
time flashed past.
spent 2 days multi-tasking between pre-CNY household chores, catching sleep, and watching movies at home.
caught It's Complicated (awesome stuff by Alec Baldwin and definitely Meryl Streep), I Hate Valentine's Day (blah) and part of Bride Wars (TBA).
and yes, we have received all the albums, gift cards, poster, frame and whatnots from Taiwan!
we love it all!
photos will be up after CNY, i hope.
10 Feb
Work.
but not before popping by Pets Fever.com in Clementi central to check on the prices of some supplies. *wink*
11 Feb
Work.
caught a short nap and woke up in the afternoon to help Poppy out with the making of Ngoh Hiong.
chop chop, peel peel, throw some temper then head back to sleep again.
Poppy made a grand total of 37 rolls to be given to relatives in substitute of the missing Lim Chee Guan Bah Kwa we swear by every year.
12 Feb
Work.
despite being the last day of work before my festive break, something major had to happen.
madness.
thankfully, PL stayed back for 2 - 3 hours to help out and Prabu lent a major helping hand by logging on to work from home. kudos to all!
now, hopefully the rest of the 2 hours remain peaceful.
knowing i'm on night shift, Poppy has been really sweet to apply a few days' leave to help out with the chores. and he's taken care of almost everything from sweeping, mopping, wiping of furniture and our semi-weekly load of laundry. nubbs.
guess that's all for now.
u probably won't see any updates till the 4-day break is over.
till then, have a Prosperous and Fulfilling Lunar New Year y'all!
