OT. what the...

surfing the net now that i'm gonna be stuck here for another few hours on top of my 12-hour shift.
i realized the nasal spray prescribed to me by the specialist (for my long-time sinus problem) actually has a lot of side effects!

read more here...

i haven't really paid attention to the effects in the past, but now i will really monitor when using.
i do notice that i'm more prone to minor nosebleeds, dryness of mouth, sore throats.

alright.
i've got no idea what i'm rambling about already.
Zee monster is beckoning~ RAWR.

Laziness..

ahh.. it's been a while since i last blogged.
everytime "something" will get in the way..
messy group chats with the girls, spree-and-surf sessions, work, sleepiness..
and alas! laziness.

the ASOS spree almost stopped me again today. almost.
but here i am (before i get back to "eliminating my neverending list of things to buy).

i've kinda lost track of the events since i last blogged.

we had a BBQ on 23rd at Ling's place to pre-celebrate the x'mas and also her bday.
yet another wild and fun time with the girls. not one was missing this time 'round.
yippee.

spent my X'mas eve counting down in the office, and the rest of the week on night shift.
been binge-eating these few nights. all the X'mas goodies, plus the convenience of Mac delivery.. good, since i need a few more pounds for the New Year anyway.

opened and closed 2 VS & F21 sprees.
with drugstore impending, i'm also tagging along with the girls' ASOS spree.
i'm sucha busy person, don't u agree? wahahaaa.

- will head home to catch some rest before going out for fishing in the evening with NeuNeu.
- and tomorrow night, i'll be having dinner with the girls at Waraku in Heeren.
apart from the usual hot gossip session... i'd like to suggest some SHOPPING!

time really flies. yet another year (of my youth) gone.
before i get too carried away, i need to whine a bit about having to work on New Year's day AGAIN. both X'mas and New Year holidays burnt.

but on the account that i'll be off on Chinese New Year - the entire stretch from 25 to 28, then i'm on leave on 29 and 30, i shall hold my peace.

eh, by the way, Nono when are u getting married ah?
not much youth left in u. woohoooo~
i bet she doesn't read, so i guess i'm pretty safe.

and in case, u actually are reading.
don't be angry k? i show u a picture of Gua Gua doing "dry swimming".
ps: Gua Gua was given to me by the girls during the X'mas pre-celebration.

Another week...

15 Dec
ran around in circles after losing my keys.
stayed over at Vincent's place the previous night, had a short game of mahjong with the family before turning in.
left in the morning together with Qingli to NeuNeu's house when he knocked off.

managed to locate my keys later in the day with Jocelyn's help, thus headed back to collect it and headed home.
after some housework, we just slept the day away.

16 Dec
after a frantic week of spreeing, ordering, invoicing, finally managed to find time to rest.

had BKT lunch with my Tuesday hot dates before heading over to town for some shopping.
i actually bumped into YS and her niece. and we thought "someone" was supposed to be home doing housework that's why didn't join us for lunch. hmpfh.

anyway ended up watching the 3D version of the movie Bolt at Lido with NeuNeu.
then headed home for some rest.

17 Dec
had a network training session at the Suntec office with a few others.
nothing fantastic except for the long lunch we had at Marina Square.

met up with Vincent, Qingli for a bit of shopping around town, followed by dinner at Chinatown after Adrian finished up on his work.

headed home to finish on some work-related stuff then off to ZeeLand.

18 Dec
apart for waking up for food, i slept throughout the entire day.
reported back at work for night shift and saw the new 26 inch LCD monitors.
HUGE.

anyways, a Guangzhou trip is on the books.
it's set for April next year and tentatively, it's Vincent, Qingli, Adrian and us.
details are to be confirmed by next week.

one more day to my off day,
and two more days to our secret gathering!

December 10, 2008

vPOST makes me v(ERY)...

vPOST makes me v(ERY) prudent about my shopping expenditure.

i've been shopping online for years.
the consolidation of shipments allows us to save on the base charge as we ship more.
and now, with their lower base charge and the new GST formula, it is even more economical to shop and ship with vPOST.

attractive online store prices paired with competitive shipping rates makes online shopping more enjoyable than ever!

not forgetting the wonderful bond i share with my gals as we discuss and surf through the various international sites, and the joy of unwrapping each package delivered safely and timely by the postmen.

'nuff said.

read more about it from the professionals
or
check out my newest loot from online shopping right here.

... gotta get back to my latest Forever21 and Old Navy sprees.

December 02, 2008

Late for lunch

missed my weekly lunch meeting with the girls coz i overslept.
the Da Yi Ma visited me last night. dang.

had an extremely busy week(end), too lazy to type too much so here are the photos..

something totally random.
a few days before the chalet/BBQ, NeuNeu was late when fetching me off work.

me:
why are u so late?

him:
just now i busy marinate.
(his usual broken Engrish)

me:
i hate u.
u're married, but the bride is not me.

him:
huh?!

me:
u said u married Nate.

... and finally an entry!

ok, finally down to blog proper.

firstly, i had my hair permed about a week ago.
sorry folks, no pictures yet.

during the same week...
i caught Madagascar 1 & 2
i had my usual skype-a-lot days
i received the shipment for 1 out of the 4 sprees ordered for LA SENZA.

3 more shipments - Forever 21 (two orders) and Mandee should arrive anytime late this week or early next week.
hoooo!

anyway, i was running a temperature on Saturday night and had to call in sick the next morning.

Monday 24 Nov

anyways, was better by Monday and was out in the afternoon after the HK guys arrived.
did some walking from Bugis to Little India.
settled for dinner at Newton Circus where we met up with Yong Chuan & Siu Fai, then Jocelyn and Kenny joined us after work as well.

had a drink at Boat Quay afterwards, where they headed back to their hotel to rest.
the rest of us headed off to Cineleisure for KTV!

was dead beat (and voiceless) by the time we finished.

Tuesday 25 Nov

met my lovelies for lunch.
Mary didn't join us because she was at China Square for Sushi with her niece.
BO JIO!!!

... and the sweet little things passed me this
sounds pretty amazing on the website, but i've yet to try it for myself.

also, had a mahjong session at home in the evening with Neu, Mommy and Bro.

this weekend's going to a busy one, with my company D&D in the evening at Hotel Intercontinental, followed by NeuNeu's family chalet and BBQ on Saturday at Sentosa..
and finally my rest days from Sunday to Wednesday.

yippee.

November 24, 2008

TGIF!

finally at ease after he has given his word that there won't be a next time.

and if i be good, i get to go wherever and eat whatever.
holy cheezburger!

to my crazycoolcranky gals having their "swimming session" tonight at Boon's...

HUAT AHH!!!

winner buys me lunch.
yay.

also, to poor Shan who has been hospitalized due to viral infection from too much butt-poking.
speedy recovery!

and a last reminder that orders for La Senza closes tomorrow 15 Nov (Sat) at 2359.

November 12, 2008

... by demand

i'm back by popular demand.

well, actually only 1 request..
kua kua

Sunday
anyways, the first week of night shift ended peacefully in the morning.
i met NeuNeu at Jurong Point after our night shifts and he drove me home.
after a short nap, followed by dinner... we had a mahjong session!

and i hereby proudly announce:
"it's the first time in my entire life that i emerge as the overall winner!"
applauds and pats self on the back.

the gals will be having a session at Boon's place on Friday night but i can't make it coz i'm on night shift. oh pity.

Monday

woke up really late.

i was too engrossed in my God of War on PSP to go to sleep the night before.

washed up, took breakfast and rushed over to Tampines HDB with NeuNeu to apply for a season parking ticket.
we finally got a lot but it's still quite a distance from my house coz the one downstairs is overbooked. boo.

cleared my credit card bills at AXS and he didn't seem very pleased to know my bills chalked up to more than 700 bucks AGAIN for the Nth consecutive month.
but still, i got my dose of ice cream sundae from Mac afterwards. yippee!

later on, he headed home before going back to the base to clear some work.

then i Viwawa-ed and Skype-d the rest of the day away.

Tuesday

arranged to meet the gals for lunch.

had Arnold's at City Plaza (despite the bank robbery the day before).

and NeuNeu came by from home just to join us.

everyone's dying for a piece

pity, Shan and Ling weren't present to share the joyous moments of indulging in the tender, juicy fried chicken.

can't wait for the next chicky rice outing!

November 07, 2008

1st night shift..

met up with Vin, QL, Angie, Zen the night before for dinner at Aston's followed by KTV at a pub along Jalan Besar so we started the day off with waking up really late in the morning.

we were supposed to have breakfast at IMM but decided to drive in to JB instead and had Bah Kut Teh the first thing when we reached!
i've been craving for it even before i left my previous job, and the last night i was still telling NeuNeu i didn't want western food, i only wanted Prime Ribeye Bah Kut Teh.

alright, that's so lame.

anyways we went on to buy some groceries at Giant in Leisure Mall, headed over to Holiday Plaza for manicure & pedicure, then finally reached home and slacked around a bit before he drove me to Suntec for dinner.

'twas Sindu and KT's farewell dinner held at Sizzler's.
chit chat, munch munch, picture taking.
and afterwards, NeuNeu came by to pick me up and send me to work, then dropped Kenny off at Jurong before heading off for his mahjong session with his colleagues.

while i await the photos from the rest, here's a group picture taken earlier on...

yes, that's me (right at the far end)

alrighty, back to viwawa work!

October 26, 2008

Getting Pink!

finally uploaded all the pictures from my cammie.

we finished mahjong at Vincent's place only at around 4am this morning,
then NeuNeu drove by JB to topup his tank,
i have already fallen asleep in the car and by the time we reached home it was already 6am.

after attending my company's re-branding and anniversary function at Fullerton hotel on Friday evening after work, i had a drink with my team-mates at Boat Quay. NeuNeu came by to pick us up after his dinner with Alex and Penelope at Whampoa, and dropped my colleagues at their respective destinations.

he locked me out from my room when we got home.
and later on when he asked me to go in, i saw...

a new Nokia 7310 Supernova phone in PINK!
he says the color is not released locally yet, so i got the picture off a foreign website instead.

to think i was still seeking the girls' opinions on which pink phones should i buy.
yay!

then before meeting up with Vincent yesterday, NeuNeu drove me to Orchard for the Sanrio Fair in Takashimaya.
and he bought me...

My Melody & Kuromi Thermal Food Keeper, My Melody Placemat and Eye Mask!

last weekend, he also bought me a My Melody inflatable neck rest.
my collection is growing slowly but steadily.
wahaha.

now i'm thinking of shamelessly asking Louis to buy me this when he comes to Singapore next month.
i only see the Kitty version locally. boo.

Back Here

Happy HatchDay, Sel Sel!

can't wait to see the girls later.
we're gonna have dinner at Cross Keys, as recommended by yours truly.

i brought NeuNeu there on his birthday as well, and i think he liked it!

well well, second day back here.

NeuNeu didn't send me to work today.
i finally re-experienced the squish and squash in trains all the way from Tampines to Tg Pagar, then Tiong Bahru all the way up to Buona Vista.
re-experienced the crowd on bus 91.

NeuNeu came by to have lunch with me, and we had my favorite Lor Mee at Tanglin Halt! okays, going back to my stuff first. check back for photos soon!

October 19, 2008

Short Update

busy, busy.
and yes, we went to the tailor yesterday for some alteration.
also had a KTV session and some munchies afterwards.

it's been a long while since i last blogged.
so i'm squeezing a little time to blog now while waiting for NeuNeu to come by and pick me up.

u must be wondering what i have been up to?
well, i've been busy...

yakking with the gals before, during and after work;
surfing online stores for things to spree;
spending the rest of my time trying to catch up with Nono on Viwawa.

i'm sooo busy.
and now, i'm busying clearing up my work and handing over before i leave the job.

if u haven't heard... yes, i'm moving back to my previous company!
i have tendered my resignation on Friday and i'm returning on Tuesday, which leaves me with only 1 working day to tidy up everything.

Nick was telling me my previous post has been keeping him in suspense.
so now u can heave a sigh of relief and shout "Chey, i already know!"

okays, gotta run.
till the next post...

October 16, 2008

A turn of events...

one more day.

i can hardly contain the urge to spill the beans.
i'm tempted to reveal share.
however due to sensitivity and the inability to firm up the details i've got to hold for now.

going back to my MSN conference with Louis & Eddie.
discussion on good and bad horses. well literally.

till then...
keep ur eyes peeled.

October 02, 2008

Oops, i did it AGAIN...

i've decided to create an album for my spree loot.
for a start, i'll begin with my recent "conquers" from August onwards.

i love my fellow shopaholics!!!
Boon Boon, BuiBui, Ling, Ninoona, Sel, Shan

lo and behold
enter here...

My Spree Loot

This week

Monday started on the normal mode.
nothing could have rocked our worlds more after Thursday.
nothing unusual, except that the office was unusually quiet with Shan on full day leave and Ling on half day afternoon leave.

Tuesday. Shan was still on full day leave and both Ling & Sel were on half day afternoon leave. my leave wasn't granted coz the rest of the (Muslim) staff were on half day for Hari Raya.
Ling stayed around and we hung out around Geylang Serai during lunch and we shopped the entire City Plaza after having the renowned 面粉糕 (Mee Hoon Kuey).

we returned with a jar of (expensive) cookies each.
i spent the rest of the day devouring the cookies and cultivating MORE ulcers.

NeuNeu came by to pick me up after meeting the eBay seller for our walkie-talkies.
yay, we have walkie-talkies now.
we can now save up those costly overseas call charges when we're abroad.

anyways, my aunts and cousins were at my place.
mahjong, TV, chit-chat and food.
i turned in early though coz i was tired out already.

Wednesday was the continuation of the mahjong battle. the bloodshed ended with NeuNeu being victimized. aww.. poor thing.

we ended around 2.30pm and NeuNeu dropped me off at Van/Val's place, then picked me up again at 5.30pm, and we were off for the 8-course dinner at Bukit Batok with Adrian, Alex, Penelope and her friends.

yak yak, munch munch.. the 4-hour affair ended around 10pm.
Alex was very kind to drive us up to the 8th storey of the multi-storey carpark, where some very law-abiding officer parked his car. the next moment, before we knew it, the same law-abiding officer went against the flow of traffic to take a turn down the carpark.
tsk tsk.

and the law-abiding officer NeuNeu tucked me in to bed before heading back home around midnight.

Thursday. the day i LS-ed GREEN poopies. stuff which the doctor calls bile.
disgusting?
alas! the disgusting part had yet to come.
the office is contaminated with what is are worse than poopies. yuck!

on a lighter note altogether.
up next...
updates of my spree loot!

back log

and so i thought this only happens at work.
i better get started now..

25 Sep
the day we'll remember forever.
the ultimate shocker.

anyway, we arranged an emergency meeting over dinner at Serangoon Garden.
the food was great but none of us was really in the mood.
dear Mary. yes, you!

WE MISS YOU!!!

27 - 28 Sep
shop, eat, play.
need i say more?

oh yes, we played poker on the night of our arrival.
forfeit was for the loser to be "decorated" with our cosmetics.
and after it all, we looked like this...

September 21, 2008

Another week gone

yet another week gone.

from now on, posts will most likely be limited to once a week coz the company has blocked almost every surf-able networking and web chat sites.

boo.
and even the most conventional method of shouting across cubicles has been banned. maybe we should resort to 飛鴿傳書 (literally: flying pigeon passing note).
hah.

today, NeuNeu and i spent half a day in Tanjong Pagar speaking to the FA, and have more or less come to a conclusion on the services we'll be taking. but we'll prolly confirm with the FA in another week or so, after shopping around for more opinions.

well anyway, i've uploaded the pix taken at the Lantern Festival last weekend, a random lunch at Citylink with the SPC ladies, as well as some from yesterday while i was out with my colleagues and ex-colleagues.

and some sushi at Bugis after some.. ahem.. shopping

we know u feel like this now...

so we wanna tell u.
we still love u. really.

September 06, 2008

Week 1 of September

i've been in a slothy mood since morning.
i suppose my energy's almost drained out by the entire week's activities...

last weekend, NeuNeu and i had a dim sum gathering in town with TMIS folks:- Corrine, Jason, Angie, Zen, Vincent. left after we hung around a little while more at NYDC, had more drinks, fooood and chatter.

had my usual dose of three tuition sessions throughout this week.
we also caught up with Angie, Zen, Vincent and Qingli over supper on Tuesday night.

the most lifting event of the week was yesterday, when we received our Charlotte Russe spree loot!

and today the girls got their stuff from the F21 spree.
don't know why i didn't take part though...
probably it was started before i joined, or when i was not so familiar with them yet and we haven't discovered our.. ahem.. "common interest".

anyways, Lynn bought a super super super nice dress, which i LOVE, and was mopping on how i'm SOOOoo going to buy it the next time we spree F21.
then the very nice shopaholics (who were probably extremely annoyed by my yakking by then) opened another F21 spree.
so touched!

and before i continue to raid the F21 webbie, here are the pix of my purchase from Charlotte Russe...

Last week of August

another week gone.
down with the quartet of sore throat, flu, cough, fever.

Monday 25 Aug
on leave.

planned to catch a show but NeuNeu was really taxed after his night shift on Sunday so we stayed home instead.

my session was with only Valerie as Vannessa was away in camp.

Tuesday 26 Aug
Sel ordered a cake and we celebrated Mary's birthday after my leave on Monday.
thick and rich chocolate cake, with a yummy looking lamb.
don't get it?
it's because Mary had a little lamb
*doh*

was already feeling under the weather prior to that. together with the incense smoke lingering in the air because of the lunar seventh month, the cake was a killer and my sore throat started that very night.

Wednesday 27 Aug
still, i went on course on Wednesday and had an enjoyable day with the rest of the folks.
and with tea-time refreshments such as fried bee hoon, chocolate swiss rolls, curry puffs..

die.

had another short session with Valerie.

Thursday 28 Aug
headed to work as usual the next day, but paid a visit to the doctor during lunch time for some medicine.
was given MC but stayed around in the office to complete some work and left around 4.30pm.

had to cancel my appointment with YC at the last minute and went straight back home.
after watching Wall-E alone, i slept the rest of the time away.

thankfully, NeuNeu was around to drive me around otherwise the week would've been terrible.
after work this morning, i came home and rested almost the entire evening
my bro was hogging the computer anyway. ho hum.

oh yes, i submitted an entry for the Canon contest.
didn't manage to go out and take something decent, so i filtered through the folders and decided to use one taken of Charles at Sentosa and another of Hoochie at Yogyakarta.

i've been itching for a DSLR for some time now, i sure hope i strike
not as if it's lottery, i know
i'm now pinching myself for not running up to the booth (at Comex) when NeuNeu shoved his credit card in my hands to buy that DSLR camera.

anyways, tomorrow NeuNeu and i will be having Dim Sum with his buddies!
yay!

Mr. Ma's BIG DAY

an eventful day out with Mr. Ma on his birthday.
we started the day off with lunch at Cross Keys with Liz and Wei.

the couple had toasted pumpkin soup, chicken al fungi and fish & chips, whilst NeuNeu ordered grilled mushrooms and grilled cajun snapper fillet, and i had bruschetta plus cream dory mexican style.

the ambience was great and there was no crowd although it was situated in the heart of town.
the dishes were reasonably priced and extremely well done, especially the bruschetta which was delicious!
let's see if i can "pyscho" NeuNeu to bring me there again tomorrow after movie...

anyway, we caught Death Race at Lido after the meal.
NeuNeu bumped into his Secondary School buddy
and he happily munched on MY salty popcorn. hmpfhh.

after Liz and Wei went off to view the fireworks at Esplanade, we met up with Jason, Elvin and Adrian for a K-session at International Building.
Vincent, Qingli arrived shortly after followed by Angie and Zen.

chitter-chatter, sang non-stop, and finally Vincent brought in the cake just before midnight.
i'm glad everyone loved the White Chocolate Macadamia cake.
but because of its sheer size, (and Adrian already helped to eat 3 - 4 slices) we still weren't able to finish it all up.
u might have guessed by now, the rest of it all ended up...

...on Mr. Ma's face.

we wrapped up just before 2am.
after sending Vincent and his wife home, we headed back to his place and took a good rest in preparation of our JB trip with the guys the following day.

glad that NeuNeu likes my prezzies.
one thing he didn't know...
it took me 3 hours to wrap it all up.
*sweats*

Happy Birthday, Mr Ma!

Dear NeuNeu,

Hope u enjoy this special day!

Love,

Say Geez...

finally finished uploading the long overdue pictures.

i've also completed the scanning of 3 rolls of film!

geez, i also just realized there's 1 incomplete roll still in the cam...
*slaps forehead*

but anyway, here's the links for snaps:

Central Java Day I

Central Java Day IV
Central Java Day - Assortment

Bangkok Trip
Eqix Farewell

exhausted

yet another week has passed.

started the National Day by having a good long rest before taking my own sweet time to read the papers over breakfast, then driving out for a long-desired KTV session with NeuNeu.
speaking of which, it's been almost or more than a month since we last visited the KTV.

the rest of the weekend was spent on web-surfing and scanning my film.

Monday to Thursday were torturous with the bare-minimum amount of time left for sleeping.
Monday and Thursday were reserved for Vannessa and Valerie, then i met YC for dinner on Tuesday, Vicki on Wednesday.

Vicki and i were at the Tangs Bazaar held at Suntec City convention.
we went crazy and burnt big holes in our pockets with perfumes, skincare etc etc.
i knocked off earlier that day, so i headed to Funan with my colleague, YS, first before making my way to Suntec on foot (and in heels).
my legs ached like mad after the day's expedition in town.

anyways, i participated in the first spree with the girls in the office.
i've heard so much about their spree-tecular ventures monthly.
i think trying not to bust my monthly budgets would be a problem from now!

finally had some time to rest on Friday, before going for my half day of work today.
and after his night shift, NeuNeu was really nice and came by to fetch me home.
had our lunches then slept the rest of the afternoon away.

the poor thing left for work after dinner, so here i am trying to update before i start scanning my film and go by Vannessa & Valerie's tomorrow.

the first two weeks at work hadn't been easy and was definitely nothing close to "Honeymoon".
i sure hope i can pull through it after a while.

August 11, 2008

Update: August Wk 1

a rundown of the events and happenings in the previous weeks…

FRIDAY 01 Aug
Movie The Book of Revelation at The Cathay with Hoochie.
Headed to Tangs afterwards and bumped into my brother and his friend.
LOL.

SATURDAY 02 Aug
Pre-employment check at Shenton Medical, Tg Pagar.
NeuNeu came by to pick me up after that and we had dim-sum feast at Red Star (红星) in Chinatown.
Then we met our Taiwanese visitors Mrs Yang and Yunyu at the Esplanade. We went by Bugis, Suntec and then back to Esplanade again.
Headed home for some rest and had our dinners before we drove to Tampines Mall for the movie <> with Mommy and Bro.
Later in the night, we had supper at Bedok 85 with Vincent, Qingli, Alex and Bro. We got Bro to drive us home coz he has gotten his license after a single attempt!
And since then, he has driven us on numerous occasions.
Congrats, bugger!

SUNDAY 03 Aug
Had our hairdressing session at Kenny’s in the afternoon.
After our session, we headed home, packed some stuff and went out to meet another Taiwanese friend, Paul, and his daughter. We went over to Old Airport Road for some local delights including Rojak, Satay, Fried Carrot Cake, BBQ wings. Paul also joined us when we drove back to Bugis to meet Angie and Zen at 来来 café for some Taiwanese food (how ironic…). Anyway, the café serves really nice Pig’s Trotters, Egg Tofu and Hot Choc.

The nightmarish part of the night was the DURIAN SESSION!

And we hit home after browsing some car decals and stuff.

MONDAY 04 Aug
New week, new job.
Went around the new office and mingled with some of my new colleagues.
There was even a complimentary lunch held that afternoon at the Boardroom with our AVP.

Had my first tuition session later in the evening after work, with Vanessa and Valerie. And NeuNeu came by to send me home after class.

TUESDAY 05 Aug
NeuNeu sent me to work, but almost drove me to my old office in Ayer Rajah!

The rest of the week went by in a flash - lunching everyday at various locations in the vicinity with my colleagues, 2 more tuition sessions, and very much trying to get used to office hours pattern.

And today’s a new day of the week!
This week’s packed with more work, tuition sessions and 2 dinner dates – one with YC and another with Aly.

PS: I’ve scanned 2 out of 4 rolls of film for the photos taken in Java last month. I believe I should be able to finish it up by this weekend.Yay.

Slipshod Update

i made a draft of what to write but guess what...
i left it in the office.

pats myself on the back and mumbles "well done".

all in all, it's a mixed week of good-bad-relaxed-stressed-busy-slack moments.

adapting to the new environment, new job, new working hours, new people.

a stark contrast to the jobs but of coz each is good in its own way.

okays, brain not working.

don't know what to type now.

can't remember much details for the past week either.

hopefully i'll figure it out, then i'll update sometime over the weekend.

BUT first, i must finish scanning my film, pick my favorite-test and get Hoochie to pass it to Desmond for his B&W film workshop.
AND then, i must catch up on the episodes of Honey & Clover 蜂蜜幸运草.

AND then, i must buck up on my exercise routine (i missed 2 weeks because of the traveling).

AND then, and then, and then... i think i go sleep first.

Final moments

ahhh, my final moments in Eqix.
time to bid farewell,
and i've just sent out my "adieu" mail to everyone.
plus i received kind gifts from Boss, Yuka, Neeraja, the NOC & SG1 teams just after lunch

since my boss announced my departure, i have been receiving well-wishes (face-to-face, call, e-mail, MSN... any mode imaginable) from colleagues from various departments, with the bulk coming from SG1 team and Ops teams in the different countries.

i've been here for almost 2 years now and time whizzed past mercilessly.
especially merciless when it comes to leaving its traces (and train tracks) on my face. dang.

the farewell dinner's held this evening after work at Holland V.
coincidentally (and ironically), it's held at the same place where Asha's farewell took place, organized by... urs truly.

oh well, time to get back to work for now.
gonna be tied up with exit clearance and medical checks these few days.
plus over the weekend, we'll be meeting up with Peter and family who will be visiting from Taiwan.

till then.

Back to Town

SATURDAY

we touched down just before midnight.
HH came by to fetch us (amidst his mahjong game) at the airport.
had a quick bite at Adam Road then headed home for a good rest.

overall the trip was good.
what more can we ask for?
shop, eat, massage, shop, eat, massage.

but because we were both tired out from work the days before the trip,
we ended up sleeping early and waking up late on most days.

LOL.

SUNDAY

i forgot to adjust my time back from Thailand(1 hour behind) to Singapore.
so we woke up an hour late.
ho hum.

hurry scurry.
packed some stuff and headed off to Woodlands for NeuNeu's colleague - Nazri's wedding.
met up with the rest of his partners-in-crime then the entire troop drove from the groom's house in Woodlands to the bride's place in Toa Payoh.

helped ourselves over the buffet counter then moved over to Alex's place for Baby Mathias' full-month gathering.

Mommy and Daddy both looked great, and Baby's doing very well too!

the guys had their usual chatter session.
u'd be surprised (if u haven't already been) how much guys actually gossip.
hmm yes, they prefer to term it information-exchange.

anyways, we left for home shortly after.
NeuNeu's having his exam this week so we stayed in so he could do his revision.
and he's out studying with his classmates now, while i am slogging away at work once again.

as Nick puts it:
"working in the boring little office in the boring little country".

out to lunch now.
byeeeee~

Back from Yogyakarta

SATURDAY
touched down at 7:05PM
.

we were supposed to arrive at 6:30PM but there was a slight delay due to airport closure for the NDP rehearsal.
NeuNeu was already waiting for me at the T2 arrival hall.

gave him a big-big hug after almost a week's absence.

dropped my bags at home and washed up.
caught up with Angie, Zen, Vincent and Qingli.

dinner at Sushi Tei, Vivo.
finally got a taste my favorite comfort food - sashimi.

headed back to NeuNeu's place.
since it'll be nearer and easier for me to go to work the next morning.

finally had a good night's sleep.

after
5 days of non-stop walking, trekking, "suntanning", going shutter-happy,
and not forgetting,
numerous sleepless days/nights...
my body gave in.

i woke up with fever in the morning and had to call in sick instead.

going back to rest for now.
assortment of pix from the dCam will be up shortly.
most likely i'll develop my rolls of film and have them scanned and uploaded only after my Bangkok trip this Thursday.

till then.
g'nite folks.

Weekend Update

FRIDAY
Day OT.
need i say more?

SATURDAY
i've made reservations the day before for Red Cliff at GV, Tampines Mall,
so NeuNeu came by to pick us (Mommy, bro and me) after visiting Angie at SGH.

赤 壁之戰 has always been my favorite part since the days when Mediacorp (then TCS) aired the serials.
personally, i didn't think mr. leung and mr. takeshi are as suitable for the roles - they just don't appear scholarly enough.

anyways, we popped by the Hokkaido Fair at the atrium after the show, and i managed to get some konbu and wakame for my upcoming project b. (b = bento). sauntered around a little and had our late teppanyaki lunches. headed home after picking up a few breads and buns at BreadTalk.

NeuNeu and i took a short nap after arriving back home around 5:30pm.
he then left for work and Hoochie came by to pick me up to the Indoor Stadium for the Gary Chaw concert.
the concert ended around 11pm and we had to give the frog leg porridge a miss this time because i had to be up early to report at work. boo.

SUNDAY
NeuNeu fetched me after work and we had dinner at home.
took a stroll over to the market area to pay our bills at AXS, then headed home for some "dry-swimming".

the mahjong session, with Mommy and bro, ended no earlier than 1am.

MONDAY
woke up near noon, washed up and had brunch before heading to Waterloo Street for prayers. on thinking that we haven't sang for a long time, we dropped in at TopOne KTV opposite Bugis Junction. later on, we drove up to Golden Mile Complex to get my currencies then went home for dinner.

and now, NeuNeu's off to class.
i've done my online check-in for the flight plus some packing.
closing up this entry for now to finish up on the packing and catching some early rest.

my flight is at 7:55am tomorrow. yawn.
more posts when i return.

till then...
