Hungrrrry.

i'm having a post-puberty appetite increment.
had yam cake, pound cake and chocolates at home before leaving for work, packed my Subway meal + 2 cookies for dinner and now i'm feel hunger pangs again. the milk i left in the office has curdled and now there's nothing to eat my plain cornflakes with =S

dang, ever since mr ma started his office-hour job about 2 weeks back, i only managed to cook dinner twice, and, one actually was chao-tar fried rice. the rest of the time, i'm either too tired, too lazy or in a rush to go to work. in between, i had 1 baking disaster, of which the produce is what i named "Titanic" - a spectacular but sunken American carrot cake. *shy*.
hey, i did successfully make my own Peanut Butter Ice Cream ok! *thumps chest*

and so, i've been ordering unhealthy dinners (and a lot of suppers), usually MacDonald's and deep-fried western food, which largely explains the deteriorating skin of mine.

but of course, i can't leave it as it is. and have gotten my dear brother to buy me a huge collection of Laneige products whilst he was away for his 3-week exchange program. initially, it was just the Water Sleeping Pack Plus, but i simply couldn't resist the temptation of adding more to that list. i ended up with about 6 products? but alas, that is not the end of the story.

every weekend, we will have a grocery shopping trip. and so far, we never spend less than a hundred buckaroos per trip. just snuck off to IMM to buy some last-minute stuff for his birthday steamboat session at our place. ka-ching.

due to our working hours, i hardly see mr ma around, except for Sundays when we're both off.
so i've been keeping myself busy with FaceBook applications and CozyCot forums.
one thing led to another.

forum > blogshop discussion > temptation > futile resistance > NEW CLOTHES.

nice right?!
it should arrive in my mailbox today, together with my 4th HollywoodClicks DVD - i'm currently on their 21-day free trial. at least one good and free thing.

next, i'm aiming for BC's launch tomorrow at 11.30am.
should i also get a MacDonald's breakfast?
feel like having McGriddles. yum.

aarrgh, save me!

Wedding Bands

I vaguely remember having post this before, but can't find the entry.

So here they are - our wedding bands.
Collected them about 2 weeks ago from the boutique, after having wait for 3-odd months for it to be custom-made.

Ok, my camera has run out of battery and it's charging right now.
So here's the image taken off Cartier's website.

And, the
link to see it (Platinum version).

We saw and tried their Love and Trinity series, as well as Bvlgari's
(refer to pictures below)

But with my boney fingers, I chose Cartier's Wedding Band
(yes, that's its name, THE Wedding Band).

It's not as bulky aka “粗鲁” as the two mentioned (Sel will know what I mean), and it's simple enough for daily wear. Just the one we need.

The boutique currently has the Yellow Gold and Platinum versions, but ours is made in 18k Rose Gold, the supposedly only pair in Singapore (as of now) which explains the 3-month wait.

Sorry, Sophia.
I promise I'll take some pictures... soon!

Happy Holidays

yea, i know it's a little late to say "Happy Holidays", and everyone's already started slumping back into work moods by now.

the long weekend also marked mr ma's last days before starting his new role in a new office.
so for him it's "Goodbye shift work, Hello office hours and TGIFs",
whilst for me it's "Goodbye weekday JB trips, Hello home-alone off days". BAH.

anyways, yesterday, we woke up to home-cooked lunch after sleeping past noon.
did the usual chores - laundry, cleaning, packing, and prepped up for some shopping!

popped by Robinson's to look at some cookware,
but ended up with none coz there was just SO many to choose from.
mr ma had to drag me away before i light the fire (and burn our pockets again).
oh yes, we spent 2 hours the night before in NTUC Xtra, Jurong Point emptying the store's shelves, and of coz, our bank account.

got our bed a spare set of sheets from Aussino, in order to utilize our $10 Centrepoint voucher.
that also meant, we forked out additional 25 buckaroos although there isn't a minimum expenditure required. brilliant marketing tactic, i say.

shortly after, we met up with Liz and Wei, who had left their kid with the nanny, and happened to finish a movie at Cathay when we called.
we recced the ION and Orchard Central, collected our rings from Cartier in Taka and i bought some cakes from Rive Gauche before sending them to the nanny's to fetch their baby.

afterwards, mr ma and i headed to Jurong East for dinner, also lemming to drop by Phoon Huat to get me some baking supplies but alas, they've wound up that outlet giving way to yet another NTUC.

I WANT MY PHOON HUAT!

apparently, i can tell mr ma is secretly relieved that he's saved from my baking disaster - for now.
*frump*

spent the last moments of the holiday indulging in
our "longan almond mousse" cakes, some beer and a good DVD.

i hope we get to do this again soon...

now, i should head back to bed and rest up for overtime later - my 3rd in 3 weeks.
ahhh, the advantage of staying near the office.

After the Housewarming

hola, after 2 days of long-and-tiring housewarming sessions,
i'm back in Tampines.

back to visit Mommy,

back in my old bed,

back on my internet and computer.

and it feels grrrreat!

cleaned up the place after family & relatives' visit in the evening.

spent a little more time ripping ang-baos and wrappers off presents (which was pretty fun, actually), did our 2day-old laundry, washed up and headed to Mommy's.

now, for a little post-housewarming update.
we were overwhelmed by the number of visitors and the amount of entertaining to be done, we didn't have time to sit down and eat or drink, not to mention take pictures. so here's a few of the few (spells: corny!) pictures i have on hand.

taken with Esther & Anjan

my ever-lovable ladies

my special guest: Ning-En!

from Yuka

more gifts

pretty bouquet made by Stella

and there's many more gifts,
but we've already ripped the wrappers apart and started using or kept it away nicely in the storeroom.

Housewarming starts today

continuous sleep-deficient days after OTs and night shifts.
feels like i'm on the verge of falling sick soon. bah.

so occupied with daily chores that i haven't realized my wardrobe is just half-full,
and i haven't anything decent to wear later. aargh.

nope, work doesn't just end at 7am,
i still gotta get home fix up the computer table and clear up the mess,
then prepare a little coz Minx will be popping by around 12pm first...

even a whole night of bossa nova can't appease the restlessness.
i can't think straight.
i need a good rest.
NOW.
