Happy Holidays

yea, i know it's a little late to say "Happy Holidays", and everyone's already started slumping back into work moods by now.

the long weekend also marked mr ma's last days before starting his new role in a new office.
so for him it's "Goodbye shift work, Hello office hours and TGIFs",
whilst for me it's "Goodbye weekday JB trips, Hello home-alone off days". BAH.

anyways, yesterday, we woke up to home-cooked lunch after sleeping past noon.
did the usual chores - laundry, cleaning, packing, and prepped up for some shopping!

popped by Robinson's to look at some cookware,
but ended up with none coz there was just SO many to choose from.
mr ma had to drag me away before i light the fire (and burn our pockets again).
oh yes, we spent 2 hours the night before in NTUC Xtra, Jurong Point emptying the store's shelves, and of coz, our bank account.

got our bed a spare set of sheets from Aussino, in order to utilize our $10 Centrepoint voucher.
that also meant, we forked out additional 25 buckaroos although there isn't a minimum expenditure required. brilliant marketing tactic, i say.

shortly after, we met up with Liz and Wei, who had left their kid with the nanny, and happened to finish a movie at Cathay when we called.
we recced the ION and Orchard Central, collected our rings from Cartier in Taka and i bought some cakes from Rive Gauche before sending them to the nanny's to fetch their baby.

afterwards, mr ma and i headed to Jurong East for dinner, also lemming to drop by Phoon Huat to get me some baking supplies but alas, they've wound up that outlet giving way to yet another NTUC.

I WANT MY PHOON HUAT!

apparently, i can tell mr ma is secretly relieved that he's saved from my baking disaster - for now.
*frump*

spent the last moments of the holiday indulging in
our "longan almond mousse" cakes, some beer and a good DVD.

i hope we get to do this again soon...

now, i should head back to bed and rest up for overtime later - my 3rd in 3 weeks.
ahhh, the advantage of staying near the office.
$$ ka-ching $$
