as i was on my way to Holland V for a well-deserved dinner treat for myself & also to support the Nat'l Day promo, the MRT service at Tampines was disrupted.
yeah, u've guessed it. another accident.
oh well, not sure if it was an accident or suicide but it definitely disrupted my plans.
in the end, i had to make do with only a quick bite at MacDonald's n rush to work in a cab WITHOUT MY CAKE!
instead of thinking of ways to raise the fares, SMRT should really look into the safety of the MRT stations (especially Jurong East, Tampines n those that do not have any barriers).
suggestions include:
- building safety barriers
- use of creative signages that carry the horrific graphics of victims of railway accidents (just like the ciggarette packaging)
- warnings that read:
"Please, go die elsewhere."
or
"Do not dive into the tracks. Fine SGD10, 000."
do something about it since u're so SMaRT.
if the disruptions go on n i get sacked for punctuality problems, i could be the next one "jumping" along the trend.
now i gotta find another day to get me the cake. sigh.
